A Town hall on Black Agriculture and Food Sovereignty

In response to the USDA’s recent decision to rescind federal funding for the Ivanhoe Farmers Market program. This Black-led initiative would have used the funding to make their farmers market accessible to mothers on WIC and seniors using food vouchers. With the Trump administration taking steps that disproportionately impact Black farmers, we believe it’s critical to hold this discussion in the coming weeks.

Fruition KC

We often have people waiting for an hour before Micah services begin so we decided to reach three life-enhancing goals:

1. Create opportunities to get to know our neighbors more deeply and build community
2. Honor dignity with life-enhancing experiences and opportunities to be heard
3. Provide a comfortable place during the cold, rain, or extreme heat where neighbors could find some comfort and experience some temporary relief.

SECOND MONDAYS: Free Live Music
THIRD MONDAYS: Community Leader Q&A

Worship Service

Our Worship Service is located in our Sanctuary. We do have an ADA entrance if that is needed.

Our mission is “Witnessing to God through the Good News of Jesus Christ made tangible in our community by: loving kindness, doing justice and walking humbly with God.” For IBCC to live out these values, we will direct our time, energy, attention, and resources toward that which builds God's Beloved Community. Jesus’ Body is incarnate: felt, heard, ingested, active, embracing, and leading beyond the status quo and into experienced wholeness, beloved community, and justice. We want our community to know and meet Jesus through such a Body.
